The 2007 European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO-2007) was the 15th in a series of conferences organised by the European Association for Signal, Speech, and Image Processing (EURASIP, www.eurasip.org). EUSIPCO-2007 focused on key aspects of signal processing theory, architectures, and applications. More than 800 papers were submitted to this conference and after extensive reviewing, 520 papers were accepted for publication and presentation at EUSIPCO 2007. The conference included also a series of keynote and plenary talks by industry and academic experts, the tutorials sessions, and the industrial demonstration sessions.
